TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said said that to make sure there is fuel shortage ahead of Eid Day this year, state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina has prepared a number of strategies to meet the high demand for fuel.
"Pertamina will add supply and prepare to sell fuel oil in packaging," Sudirman said in Bandung on Friday.
In the meantime, PT Pertamina Marketing Director Ahmad Bambang said Pertamina will prepare fuel in packaging for travelers stuck in traffic and the size varies from 1 to 10 liters.
Besides selling fuel gas stations, he added fuel in containers would be distributed by Pertamina officials to the travelers stuck in traffic and distribution will be made by using bicycles and motorbikes. Fuel oil in packaging is expected to be a buffer stock when the supply is running out.
