TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-China-based developer China Communications Construction Group (CCCG) has planned to develop a world-class property project in Indonesia. The joint corporation of a two giant Chinese companies Harbour Engineering Company and China Road and Bride Corporation will develop a US$1 billion worth of property project with a mixed use project concept.

China Harbour Indonesia president director Shen Chao said that the CCCG viewed Indonesia as an important country for business and investment.

In addition to continuous efforts from the Indonesian government to create a conducive climate for business, the CCCG also sees Indonesia as an appealing market with its huge population.

“We’re very comfortable with policies made by the Indonesian government, particularly those related to massive infrastructure developments. These will have positive impacts and significantly improve the social prosperity and the economic growth,” Chao said in a press release in Jakarta on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Chao added that the superblock project would consist of 30 towers, of which the development of eight towers is expected to complete within three years.

“The company will also expand its property business in other cities in Indonesia, such as Surabaya and Medan,” Mr. Chao explained.

The CCCG has been operating in Indonesia for two decades through one of its subsidiaries PT China Harbour Indonesia. The company has been involved in important projects, such as the Suramadu Bridge and the JICT Terminal. Currently the CCCG has 167 branch offices in 120 countries with more than 120,000 employees.
