2016 BBTF Promotes Tana Toraja

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Committee Chairman of the 2016 Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) I Ketut Ardana said that the annual event this year would promote Tana Toraja in South Sulawesi as a tourism object.
"This year, it is Tana Toraja that will be promoted at the event,” Ardana said on Saturday.
The BBTF is an international tourism fair attended by hundreds of travel companies from all over the world.
In 2015, the BBTF was attended by 176 travel companies and this year, it is expected that 225 travel companies would participate in the event.
The companies include hotels, tour operators, tourism attractions, governments, transportation companies and corporates.
"The readiness of the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair so far is already 80 percent, ranging from hotels, flights, and supporting facilities," he added.
In the meantime, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya targeted that the amount of transaction this year would rise to Rp9.3 trillion, or rises by 43 percent compared to the event last year, which produced transactions worth Rp5.2 trillion.
