BMKG: Light Showers Expected Across GreaterJakarta in the Evening

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecasted generally sunny conditions for Friday, May 6, 2016 - with the exception of North Jakarta, whose residents should expect slightly overcast conditions throughout the morning.


As the morning progresses into the day, showers with light intensity are to be expected across South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, and Bekasi, whereas cloudy skies are expected to remain throughout North Jakarta, West Jakarta, the Thousand Islands. and Tangerang throughout the afternoon.


In the evening, overcast skies will remain over the Thousands Islands, while other areas across the Greater Jakarta region are forecasted to experience some showers. Jakarta and Bekasi residents should expect light showers, while light-to-moderate showers are to be expected in Depok, Bogor, and Tangerang.


Light showers have also been predicted across other areas on the Island of Java and Sumatra - including Serang, Semarang, Surabaya, and Jogjakarta.


Temperatures across the capital are expected to hover between 23 and 34 degrees Celsius, with humidities ranging between 65-95 percent throughout the day.
