Pos Indonesia Recruits 5,000 New Employees

TEMPO.CO, Bandung-The recruiting of 5,000 workers by state postal service company PT Pos Indonesia in 2016 became the highest recruitment throughout the history of the national logistics company.


“The amount of workforce recruited will be more than 5,000 people, depending on the final test result,” PT Pos Indonesia Human Resource and Public Director Febriyanto said in a press conference in Bandung on Tuesday, May 03, 2016.


The massive workforce recruitment is done in order to reinforce business competencies in the company's courier, logistic, retail, and financial service sector, as well as to strengthen Pos’ Human Resources in accordance with the company’s business plan.


Symbolically, PT Pos Indonesia’s outsourcing workers has received a letter of appointment from Pos Indonesia Director Gilarsi W Setijono at Pos Ibukota Building in Jakarta last Sunday.


The new employees will be placed throughout Pos Indonesia’s technical implementation unit that are spread throughout the country to reinforce the company’s business operation that is rapidly growing.


The selection process began in February 2016 through online registration and done in several stages with an elimination system. The first stage is the administration and skill assessment selection, the second is the potential/ psychological test, then interview and data validation test, and the final stage is health test.


The recruitment involved the participation of Pos Indonesia Labor Union and the implementation, starting from the selection process until the final test, is partnered with independent and competent recruitment consultant.
