TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Sydney, Yayan G. Mulyana, has confirmed that a member of Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, Wahyu Dewanto, is visiting Sydney, Australia, with his family members.

“In Sydney, Mr. Dewanto himself has arranged both of his accomodation and visit programs,” Yayan told Tempo, Thursday, March 31, 2016.

The Hanura Party politician visit is in the spotlight due to the issuance of a letter from the State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry number B/1337/S.PANRB/03/2016 signed by ministry’s secretary.

The letter addressed to Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General was issued to ask for Consul General of RI in Sydney to provide accomodation and transport facilities during Wahyu Dewanto’s visit in Sydney on March 24-April 2, 2016.

According to Consul General Yayan Mulyana, KJRI Sydney as one of the overeas representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has a standardized procedure (protap) in providing services to guests and Indonesian citizens in need of assistance.

Yayan explained that such standardized procedure for services of Indonesian citizens in need of assistance and in distress would be carried out with the principle of partiality. “Service and protection to an Indonesian citizen will be given in accordance with the urgency for the safety and prosperity of said citizen,” he said.
