Rio Haryanto Needs Rp220bn to Race in Formula 1

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Indonesian racer, Rio Haryanto, will drive a Formula 1 car on Tuesday, December 1, on Yas Marina circuit, Abu Dhabi.
The opportunity to join F1 test, said Rio, will be taken well. "It is a good opportunity, moreover Manor still gives [me] chance, the deadline is postponed. So there is still time to ger sponsors," stated Rio to Tempo on WhatsApp, on Monday, November 30.
Previously, F1 Manor team gave Rio time until October to decide whether he'll join it or not. Since he has not got any fund from sponsors, Rio's manager has not given the answer.
The estimated cost to perform for a season in F1 is around 15 millions Euro or around 220 billion Rupiahs. But the deadline Manor gave could be postponed.
