TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The Justice and Human Rights Minister Yasonna H. Laoly has made an agreement with the House of Representatives to pass the Tax Amnesty draft bill and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) law draft revision.

During the Legislation Board’s (Baleg) meeting on Friday, November 27, 2015, the House of Representatives suggested the Tax Amnesty draft bill to be proposed by the government, while the KPK law draft revision to be proposed by the House.

“We agree to make the Tax Amnesty draft bill as government’s initiative,” Yasonna said in Baleg’s meeting at the Senayan Parliament Complex on Friday, November 27, 2015.

Yasonna also agreed that both drafts would be prioritized in the 2015 National Legislation Program (Prolegnas), which would result in ratifications by the end of this year.

The Legislation Board has scheduled to hold another meeting to discuss both draft bills in less than a month. Upon agreement, the draft bills will be forwarded to the House’s steering committee (Bamus) and the plenary session to be approved.
