TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of jazz, pop-folk, hip hop and dangdut musicians from Indonesia are scheduled to rock the main stage at 2015 Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt, Germany, on August 28-30, 2015.

“Indonesia will perform on the main stage. During the opening, media from all around the world will direct their attention to our performance. This is an opportunity to show that Indonesia has a high quality art and culture,” Slamet Rahardjo, the committee chief responsible for Indonesian team preparation, said on Friday, August 28.

According to Slamet, the Museumsuferfest is an important moment to promote Indonesia to Germany and other European countries prior to the Frankfurt Book Fair that will be held on October 14-18, 2015.

Indonesia will be facilitated with an 800-meter square booth comprising performance stage, movie and animation stalls and Indonesian books to promote Indonesian writers to the international community.

In addition to traditional arts, Indonesia will feature contemporary musicians including Dwiki Darmawan, Dira Sugandi, Bonita & the Hus BAND, JFlow, Mian Tiara, Djaduk Ferianto and KuaEtnika. Museumsuferfest visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy dangdut, the most popular music genre in Indonesia.
