1,200 People to Watch The Ramayana Opera On Independence Day

TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Enjoying the Ramayana Ballet at the Open Theater Ramayana Dance Drama at the Prambanan Temple complex usually cost a bit. However for on the Independence Day, the management will be opening the theatre gates for free. 1,200 people is expected to watch the epic show on Monday night.
“One of our programs is to issue 1,200 invitations to watch Ramayana ballet,” said Pujo Suwarno, secretary of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko, on Sunday, August 16.
Normal ticket fee varies from Rp100,000 to Rp357,000, depending on the type of seat. The dance drama show is held on the west side of Prambanan Temple, taking the temple as background with spectacular lighting.
“The show on the night of August 17 will be the full story [of the Ramayana],” said Dewi Krisnawati, Public Relation Staff of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko.
