TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government has sold a series of state bonds and earned Rp15 trillion to be used to help pluck up a deficit in the state budget.

Originally the government planned to raise only Rp10 trillion from the bond sales , which were oversubscribed with demand totaling Rp28 trillion, the directorate of financing and risk management said.

The bonds in four series carry yield rates from 6.19 percent to 9.1 percent a year with maturities from Nov. 2015 to May, 2031, the directorate general said in a statement on Wednesday.
