East Jakarta to Hold Gem Stone Bazaar

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- The East Jakarta city government is slated to hold a gemstone bazar by involving associations of gem stone traders in East Jakarta, beritajakarta.com reported Saturday, August 1, 2015.


The gem stone bazaar would be held in August, in the front yard of the office of East Jakarta mayor.


Sutrisna, Head of Economic Affairs Division of East Jakarta City Government, said that the number of gem stone craftsmen and traders who will join the bazaar and the details of the time of the bazaar would be discussed next week.


"Associations of gem stone craftsmen and traders in Cakung and Jatinegara have agreed to support the bazaar. They will also send their members to participate in the bazaar. We’re going to discuss that again and decide the time of the bazaar,” he added.


Sutrisna also said that bazaar was aimed empowering and development gem stone craft industries.


"In this bazaar, people who love gem stones can find various kinds of gem stones from craftsmen and traders. All kinds of gem stones will be exhibited in the bazaar,” Sutrisna added.
