TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Functional Group (Golkar) Party chairman Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie said that he would have no problem with any party under the Red-and-White Coalition (KMP) to jump ship. According to Ical, everyone, including cadres of the National Mandate Party, has an equal opportunity to build the countries,

“An invitation to contribute to the country’s development should be welcomed” Ical said during a breakfasting event with party leaders under the KMP on Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Ical said that the KMP had provided contribution by being critical to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s administration.

United Development Party’s (PPP) chairman Djan Faridz echoed Ical’s opinion since the KMP had supported Jokowi’s administration.

“It’s not a problem. We’ve been supporting the government since the beginning,” he said.

National Mandate Party’s (PAN) chairman Zulkifli Hasan refused to comment on the possibility of his party to join the government’s coalition.

“We will provide names of our qualified cadres [to join the administration] upon official request. There’s none yet so far,” he said.

Earlier, Jokowi gave the signal of cabinet reshuffle by ordering his ministers to submit their performance evaluation. On the other hand, Ahmad Basarah, deputy secretary general of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, expected Jokowi to consider supports from other parties outside the Great Indonesian Coalition (KIH). Ahmad said that the government needs a stronger support from the parliament.
