TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of infrastructure and renewable energy source projects planned by the provincial government of Bali was eyed by German investors.

Such interest is because one of this developed country has the ability to build infrastructure projects and has a technological advantagecompared to other countries.

The confirmation was conveyed by German ambassador for Indonesia Georg Witschel who visited the office of Bali governor accompanied by a number of commerce and industry administrators of the country.

Its important on how to treat garbages here, because its the source of CO2, including public transportation, Georg said in Denpasar on Tuesday, June 23.

Bali Deputy Governor I Ketut Sudikerta support the interest of German investors, because if it were to be actualized, it will very much help Bali to realize its infrastructure developments.

“If the infrastructure is actualized, its closely related to our tourism. Good infrastructures will greatly affect tourist visits,” he said.

A number of projects being offered to German investors include toll developments of Denpasar-Gilimanuk, Denpasar-Buleleng toll, GOR International in Jimbaran, Amed Harbor in Karangasem, Airport in North Bali, energy generator from garbage materials, and train routes throughout Bali.

Besides asking the German embassy to help build infrastructure, Sudikerta also requested the help in bringing German tourists to Bali, as they are considered to provide high income for hotels.
