Agung Laksono to File Petition Against PTUN`s Verdict

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Functional Group (Golkar) Party chairman Agung Laksono, who was appointed in the party’s national congress in Jakarta, has planned to file a petition against the State Administrative Court’s verdict that dismissed Justice and Human Rights Minister’s decision. In addition, the ministry will file the same petition on Monday, May 25, 2015.
“The petition deed has been drafted. We, as well as the Justice and Human Rights Ministry, will file the petition tomorrow,” Agung said at his office on Sunday, May 24, 2015, in Jakarta.
Earlier on Monday, May 18, 2015, the State Administrative Court ruled in favor Aburizal Bakrie’s lawsuit. The court revoked the Justice and Human Rights Minister’s decision letter that validated Agung’s Golkar and reestablish Aburizal-led Golkar’s executive board formed in the 2009 National Congress in Riau.
Despite of filing the petition, Agung remain opened to a temporary reconciliation as advised by Golkar’s politician Jusuf “JK” Kalla. Both camps formed a temporary reconciliation team in order to be qualified in regional heads elections.
