Budi Gunawan Officially Inaugurated as Deputy Chief of Police

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Insp. Gen. Anton Charlian, spokesman for the National Police Headquarter said that Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan has been officially inaugurated as the new Deputy Chief of the National Police. The inauguration ceremony was held out of public sight at the National Police Headquarter.


"Alhamdulillah, [Budi Gunawan] is now the Deputy Chief of National Police. I ask for [your prayers] so that he can work together wht the Chief of National Police," Anton said on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.


The ceremony was held behind closed doors with the presence of the Police's two stars and three stars generals and lasts for no longer than 30 minutes, without any speeches from the National Police Chief. Anton was reluctant to answer when he was aksed why the inauguration was held privately.


Anton said that Budi Gunawan is yet to deliver his future plans following his inauguration as the new Deputy Chief of the National Police.


M. Nasser, Commissioner of the National Police Commission, said that the inauguration was held in such a short time because the Chief of National Police has a very limited free time. Nasser added that the media was not allowed to cover the event because of the limited space of the venue.
