TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah called President Joko Widodo a best friend of Palestine during the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) at Jakarta Convention Center on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
“President Jokowi is a best friend of Palestine. We are very honored by President Jokowi’s support for Palestinian independence,” said Hamdallah.
President Jokowi said Indonesia would always be with Palestine in fighting for its independence and full UN membership.
“The most important thing is that Palestine is the only country that is still under occupation. It is time to end it,” said Jokowi.
The bilateral talks with Palestine also discussed trade and cooperation to boost human resources capacity and religious tourism.
