TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dozens of personnel from the Indonesian Air Force Bomb Squad and Special Forces examined goods belonging to the passengers of a Batik Air aircraft that has to make an emergency landing after receiving a bomb threat. The aircraft was forced to land at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar on Friday, April 17, 2015.
"We are currently in the waiting room of Gate VII of the airport. We are being guarded by authorities and our goods are being examined one by one," said Bambang Suherman, one of the passengers of the Batik Air aircraft to Tempo through a phone call.
Bambang explained that the goods being examined are the goods stored in the passenger cabin while the goods stored in the aircraft’s baggage were not examined.
The passengers claimed that they were not aware of the bomb threat. The passengers later noticed the threat after they saw personnel from the Bomb Squad and Special Forces.
