Jokowi Increases Vehicle Purchase Allowance for State Officials

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has decided to increase the amount of vehicle purchase allowance for state official under the consideration that the previous amount was not in accordance with vehicle price increase.

"For the technical consideration, please ask the Finance Ministry, which can explains better," said Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

The increase is regulated in Presidential Regulation No. 39/2015, which amends Article 3 of Presidential Regulation No. 68/2010. In the amendment, the vehicle purchase allowance was increased to Rp. 210,890,000 from the previous Rp. 116,650,000.

State officials subject to the Regulation include members of the House of Representatives, members of the Regional Representatives Council, Justices, Constitutional Court judges, members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia, and members of the Judicial Commission.
