TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport ranks at number 12 in the world's busiest airports list for the year 2014. The Indonesian international air hub with the IATA code CGK is down one spot from 2013's position.
The drop in the rank was due to CGK's declined number of passengers by 3.6 percent to 57.22 million people in 2014. The list ranked 1,095 airports worldwide.
The world's four busiest airports are still the same as the previous year's record. According to the Airports Council International (ACI), as per March 26, 2015, the busiest airport in the world is US' Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), followed by Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), London Heathrow International (YXU), and Tokyo Haneda International (HND).
