TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo will launch a one-million-house program ahead of May Day on May 1 across Indonesia.
“The groundbreaking is planned on April 30 by President Joko Widodo,” said Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono on Sunday.
Baski said the one million houses are divided into two groups, they are 600,000 houses for low-income society and 400,000 houses for middle to high society.
The facilities are down payment is reduced to one percent and subsidy of Rp4 million for low-income people.
“KPR (fixed mortgage loan) is also reduced from 7.5 percent to five percent so that the installment payment is more affordable,” said Basuki.
According to Basuki, the groundbreaking on April 30 will be centered in Central Java or Tangerang. The total number of houses for the first groundbreaking is 230,000.
This year, the budget provided by the state budget is around Rp8.4 trillion. From KPR Rp5.2 trillion, BPJS Rp2.5 trillion, Bapertarum Rp3 trillion and Perumnas Rp1 trillion.
