TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Ministry announced the project of Cilamaya seaport in North Karawang, West Java, would be underway as planned with all investment given to the private sector.


Head of Public Communication Center of the Transportation Ministry Andravida Barata in a written statement to Antara on Sunday said that the project had been initiated since the administration of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the feasibility study has been conducted since 2010.


Barata also said that technical studies and environmental imapcts have been set out by international consultants and have also involved management of state-owned oil and gas operator PT. Pertamina and SKK Migas from the previous period.


In the meantime, he said that the pre-feasibility study was conducted in 2010 and the feasibility study was conducted between 2011 and 2012.
