TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung Mayor Ridwan “Emil” Kamil claimed that Bandung's infrastructure is 85 percent ready to host the 60th Asian-African Conference (KAA). "We are down to another 15 percent. Within two weeks, it will all be concluded," said Ridwan.
Emil reminded that the job must be done immediately as KAA is only counting days. He believes that the project runs pretty well, amid rain that often interrupts its progress. Moreover, he claimed that contractor is equipped with cutting-edge technology, therefore able to finish the project on time.
In total, Emil has instructed using 10 private contractors to work on Bandung’s infrastructure since President Joko Widodo gave a go by the end of February. The 10 contractors are set to meet on April 15, all discussing their work progress.
"On April 15, we will have new plaza fountains and other interesting objects in Bandung," said Ridwan.
