TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Property consultant and research institution Jones Lang LaSalle said developers are swarming to work on properties in new areas Bali like Ubud, Uluwatu, Sanur dan Ketewel, leaving popular area Kuta.
These developers are flocking to these areas as land prices there are still considerably affordable, unlike Kuta's skyrocketing prices—especially in the worldly known beach town's north and south sides.
Jones Lang LaSalle said there are currently nine areas that are a favorite among property developers in the island. They are Canggu, Ubud, Kuta/Legian Seminyak, Ketewel, Sunset Road, Sanur, Jimbaran, Tanjung Benoa and Uluwatu.
The highest land prices can be found in the Kuta/Legian/Seminyak region with plots sold for Rp25 million to Rp30 million per square meter. Meanwhile, the lowest prices can be found in Ubud, with estimated land price of Rp4 million to Rp6 million per square meter.
