TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung Mayor Ridwan “Emil” Kamil expressed his optimism that the infrastructure construction in Bandung will finish right before the 60th anniversary of Asia-Africa Conference (KAA) on April. He claimed that the project is still operating on schedule.
"I work as a project operator every night,” said Emil. “Look at Braga Street. It has been paved and ready for granite installation."
Emil added that the repairs will also cover other streets, such as Cikapundung and Dalem Kaum street. As for Bandung Grand Mosque, he said that the City Administration plans to refurnish the building, making it like Madinna Mosque.
The project will also leave stones engraved with the names of 109 guest nations of KAA. "Every celebration must have a trace," said Emil, arguing that the stones will serve as a symbol and momentum of KAA 2015.
