TEMPO.CO, Southampton - Sadio Mane ended Southampton’s jinx at St Mary’s stadium as he scored the only goal of the night against Crystal Palace. Mane scored the Saints' winning goal at the 83rd, helping his side book three points.

The 1-0 win also helped the Saints move to fifth in the table, overlapping Liverpool with one point gap.

Mane’s goal was the first home goal in four matches. Nevertheless, reviews have it that the Saints lacked better forwards as it walked away with only one goal in hand.

In the first half, Mane has scored a number of opportunities, yet all failed to meet the net. Luckily for the home side, James Ward-Prowse came in as a substitute, helping Mane come up with a decent strike in the end of the second half.

The victory was also the first in four matches for Ronald Koeman’s boys. Despite thir disappointing performance, however, the Saints managed to maintain their odds to break through Champions League qualification by sitting in close to fourth.
