BMKG: Thunderstorms Predicted Across Greater Jakarta Region

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned that heavy showers and thunderstorms have been predicted over the Greater Jakarta region, this evening.


Moderate to heavy showers as well as thunderstorms is predicted to begin at around 14.30 Jakarta time over Parung, Pondok Cabe, Cinere, Sawangan, Depok, Bojonggede, Citayam, Kramatjati, Pasar Minggu, Halim, Cawang and TMII.


The warning for those areas is expected to remain until 17:30 Jakarta time, when it is expected to be expanded to include Bintaro, Pamulang, Lebak Bulus, Ciputat, Pondok Aren, Pondok Labu, BSD, Tangerang, South Tangerang, Tambun, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Cibubur, and Kranggan.


Similar weather conditions should also be expected around Cengkareng, Kalideres, Kapuk, Joglo, Puri, Daan Mogot, Blok M, Senayan, Sudirman, Ciganjur, Kuningan, Ragunan, and its' immediate vicinity.
