TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Real Madrid claimed to have signed Norwegian wonder boy Martin Odegaard from Stromsgodset. No details were published regarding the 16-year-old transfer on the club’s official site.
However, rumor has it that Madrid signed Odegaard with a 2.3 million pounds transfer fee. The starlet will also receive 80,000 pounds weekly payment in Bernabeu, the highest at his age.
The name Odegaard has hit the chatter in the past couple of months. He was named the youngest player to score a cap with Norwegian national team. Playing a friendly against United Arab Emirates, Odegaard was only 15 years and 253 days.
The wonder boy had earlier caused transfer speculations, with several clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Muenchen expressing interest. Odegaard had also paid a visit to several clubs for a trial training session before deciding to join Los Blancos in winter transfer window.
