TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chelsea returned home to London from Liverpool with a draw in hand earlier today. Playing the first leg of Capital One Cup semifinal at Anfield, Liverpool’s youngster Raheem Sterling canceled Chelsea's victory with a brilliant goal in the second half.
Chelsea led the game with a goal from the penalty spot, as Emre Can tackled Eden Hazard in the box. Hazard then executed the duty and scored the opener.
Liverpool, having ruled the game with 64 percent of ball possession, scored an equalizer in the second half. It was England international Raheem Sterling that hit the net after displaying a string of fine techniques.
The 1-1 draw gives an advantage for the West Londoners. Jose Mourinho’s men will need only a goalless draw in the second leg on January 27 to proceed to the final.
