Puri Ubud Holds Huge-Scale Cremation in Bali

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Puri Ubud, Gianyar District, Bali, held a large-scale cremation ritual as the last respect for the late Dr. Ir. Tjokorda Raka Sukawati Sosrobahu, Indonesia’s renown overpass road constuctor, Antara News reported.
The creation process of Bade, a 25-meter tall coffin constructed since last November, involving 100 to 200 workers per day, said DR Cokorda Gde Sukawati MM, the architect of Bade.
With so many workers, the Bade is able to be completed in time. The 25-meter tall Bade and a 2-ton cattle is paraded by local residents from four villages.
The cremation process is simultaneously held in two locations in Ubud, Setra Dalem Puri Tebesaya Peliatan from Puri Office Ubud and Cokorda Agung W from Puri Mertasari Ubud.
