Australian Radio Host Make Contact with Hostages
Jumat, 19 Oktober 2018 18:31 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Sydney - Australian radio presenter Ray Hadley had spoken to the hostages being held in the Chocolat Lindt Cafe in Australia, as the police continue to negotiate a peaceful end to the tense situation. Earlier today, Hadley, host of a popular talkback program on Sydney's radio station, had communicated with somebody inside the cafe.
The terrorists had asked Hadley to broadcast their statement live, in which Hadley declined. They also told Hadley to maintain contact, as they are about to hand in password, which relates to other unknown operations in motions.
Ray said that on the end of the phone was a calm young man. He also claimed that he heard the man on the phone talking to his leader for further instructions.
The police have yet to respond to Ray's statement. Nonetheless, the hostage situation has called global attention, particularly due to the terrorists' affiliation with the emerging Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
