President Opens 2014 Indo Defense

TEMPO.CO Jakarta President Joko Widodo is scheduled to open the 2014 Indo Defense forum today 8 a.m. “The event will be opened by President Joko Widodo,” event spokesman Rahmat Susanto told Tempo on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
Rahmat said Jokowi would be accompanied by Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu. The defense industry exhibition will last from November 5-8, 2014 at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran.
Rahmat said the annual event was the sixth held by the Defense Ministry, adding that it would also featured international conferences, technical presentations, and product demos.
Some 15,000 delegations and 600 companies from 50 countries will show off their latest defense technology and systems at the event. “The participating countries will showcase their cutting-edge equipment here,” Rahmat said.
