TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - The increasing number of Ebola cases in the United States has caused the US government to issue a new protocol for medical worker team responsible for taking care of Ebola patients. The protocol urges medical team to protective gear to minimize the infection rate.
New guideline from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, allows medical group to undergo specific training and show competence in using protective gear. They are told to avoid making direct contact with any bodily fuids oroginating from Ebola-infected patients.
The protocol was issued in light of harsh criticism from Obama on the slow medical response and the high number of suspected Ebola patient.
