TEMPO.CO, Madrid - Real Madrid striker Gareth Bale will not be in the starting eleven when Madrid take on Liverpool in Anfield, and Barcelona in Santiago Bernabeu this week. Bale has to receive medical treatment due to gluteal muscle injury, which he sufferred during a match against Levante last week.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, said that Bale's injury was not severe, causing speculation that the coach decided to put the world's most expensive player as a benchwarmer in the two big match. However, Madrid's medical team announced on Monday, October 20, 2014, that the injury might be worse than it was initially predicted.

Bale, who is vital to Madrid's attacking flow, might be out for two weeks. It means that Madrid will not be able to employ their BBC tridente (Bale, Benzema, dan Cristiano Ronaldo) when facing Liverpool in the Champions League and Barcelona at El Classico. Regardless, Don Carlo can be rest-assured as the reigning Champions League winner have prepared a number of substitutes ready to take on Bale's role.
