TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Elected President Joko Widodo said that the domination of Merah Putih Coalition in the parliament is not a big deal in his government later. He viewed the Merah Putih Coalition as more of a challenge.
"In politics, we often have pebbles and stones obstructing our way," said Jokowi. "That is the challenge, leaving us to manage it."
Moreover, Deputy of Transitional Team Akbar Faizal presumed that Merah Putih Coalition is to tackle Jokowi’s government. Akbar said that it is as seen in the regional elections bill. "My analysis is that they are preparing a couple of scenario," said Akbar. "We do not fear [that] because we have the people on our side."
Jokowi, on the other hand, refused to comment on the Regional Election Bill. "I will [comment], but let it cool down first. I haven’t even being inaugurated," he said.
