TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Mooring Support Structure (MSS) of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project 3 at Cepu block has been completed. The MSS, to be sent to Tuban by the end of September 2014, is the facility that connects floating storage offloading from Gagak Rimang to a mooring tower at Palang offshore, Tuban.
Mobil Cepu project executive Daniel Wieczynski said the project was completed safely.
“We are proud of the performance shown by the construction team,” Wieczynski said on Friday, September 19, 2014, in Serang, Banten.
According to Daniel, with the completion of the mooring tower, Mobile Cepu will complete the remaining EPC and drilling project. Therefore, the production target for Cepu block will be achieved in 2015.
The mooring tower is a part of the EPC 3 Banyu Urip Project, constructed by PT Rekayasa Industri and Likpin LLC. The structure of the tower was built at the assembly facility of PT Bakrie Construction at Sumuranja, Banten.
Currently, Banyu Urip block produces 30,000 barrels oil per day. By 2015, Banyu Urip block’s productivity is projected to increase gradually to 165,000 barrel oil per day.
