TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said on Saturday, September 20, 2014, that there is an 80-percent probability of the United Development Party (PPP) and the National Mandate Party (PAN) to join Jokowi-led cabinet. Jokowi said both party will make the decision within a week.

The PPP and PAN had shown their interest to join with Jokowi’s cabinet by showing up at the national work meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in Semarang, Central Java.

In the work meeting, the PPP was represented by interim chairman Emron Pangkapi while PAN delegated deputy chairman Drajad Wibowo and faction chairman Tjatur Sapto Edy.

Jokowi said he is in intensive talks with both parties without revealing the details. Jokowi also reiterated that no ministerial posts will be allocated for the PPP and PAN.

“They are welcomed to propose candidates, but it [the appointment] will be decided by the president,” Jokowi said.
