TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President-elect Joko "Jokowi" Widodo will eliminate most of vice-ministerial posts which were established during the United Indonesia Cabinet II, according to Andi Widjajanto, deputy chairman of the transition team of Jokowi, as reported by Antara News.

"Most of the vice-ministerial posts will be abolished. The elimination of the posts will be discussed with Jokowi," Andi stated on Monday.

He noted that the posts in the cabinet, which had been finalized, will be announced Monday evening. Andi said the announcement will be made by Jokowi himself.

He noted that the technical substance of the posts in the cabinet had been studied by 22 members of the working group of the transition team. The results of the study had been handed over to Jokowi and are being composed by a team.

"If everything is considered already settled, the transition team will likely be disbanded on September 28 or by September 30," Andi added.
