Casio Introduces Energy-Saving Projector in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Japanese electronics manufacturer Casio introduces an environment-friendly projector in Indonesia. The projector, which is acknowledged as a new technology, uses no mercury lights.
“The technology omits the mercury lights, so that the projector can stand 20,000-hour usage. Regular projector that uses mercury light need to get the light replaced every 3,000 hours. One lights worth Rp3 million,” said Harry Lo, the President Director of PT Offistarindo Adhiprima.
Instead of the mercury light, according to Harry, the projector uses laser and LED hybrid technology making it an energy-saver device. Harry hopes that the device can facilitate for the more interactive education atmosphere in Indonesia.
