TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Neta S. Pane has asked the Metro Police to release Prabowo's supporters detained in their action in front of the Constitutional Court (MK) yesterday. "The police have no legal framework to detain them, especially to charge [them]," he said.

Neta also reminded the Police to investigate and take action against the owner of three paramilitary trucks that were seen yesterday. "The trucks ran over barbed wire barricade, causing Prabowo’s supporters to earn morale boost and turning them aggressive and anarchist."

Regardless, Neta said the police have done well in controlling the demonstration. "The conflict yesterday was part of a dynamics in expressing attitude against MK's Verdict."
