TEMPO.CO, Turin - When first introduced as the new coach of Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri had a massive task to gain trust from legendary midfielder Andrea Pirlo. Pirlo and Allegri were known to be at loggerheads when both were in AC Milan. Pirlo accused Allegri of getting rid of him and preferring Massimo Ambrosini and Mark van Bommel.

"Allegri did not want me," said Pirlo, who then left for Juventus. Ironically, Pirlo won three scudettos with La Vecchia Signora, while Allegri got sacked from Milan.

Allegri, upon receiving the job from Juventus, claimed that he had no grudge against the Italian Chuck Norris. Tuttosport reported both had made contact, with Allegri calling Pirlo and suggesting that there was no problem between them. Pirlo, known for his calmness, agreed and said he was willing to patch up their relationship for Juventus.

The coach-playmaker renewed relationship, however, will only be proven once the league kicks off. As for Juventus die-hard fans, both Pirlo and Allegri will likely come to Jakarta this August 6 in a pre-season match against Indonesia All-Stars.
