TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s team is presently scrutinizing a string of names to fill ministerial positions in the next government. The names have been displayed on its Facebook page titled Alternative Cabinet Proposed by the People (KAUR).

Among the names is the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) chief, Sutiyoso, who is nominated as the coordinating minister for political, legal and security affairs along with recently dismissed Army chief of staff Gen. (ret) Budiman and present Armed Forces commander Gen. Moeldoko.

Sutiyoso has not commented much when asked about is candidacy. “Amen to that,” he told Tempo on Thursday, July 24, 2014.

The former Jakarta governor said the parties supporting Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla had yet to engage in talks on the cabinet composition. He added that his party had thrown its weight behind the Jokowi-Kalla ticket bereft of any political condition.

“Let’s not make assumptions. The main principle is that we keep our promise to the people, that the cabinet will be filled with professionals, people with expertise in their fields, those who can work well because they have suitable backgrounds,” he said.
