TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Spain has been ruled out in cold in the World Cup 2014, after losing twice in the group match. In response to the humiliating defeat streak, Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has uttered his decision to step down from his post.

In Del Bosque's reign, Spain managed to win World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012, causing public to bet on Spain in this summer's world cup. In a twist of fate, Spain failed to proceed to knock-out round, conceeding a bunch of goal in two matches. Fans also critizied Del Bosque's decision to rely on senior goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who made a string of blunders as he guarded his post.

The 63-year-old coach said that the defeat was a bitter fact, and that he is ready to step down for the sake of Spain's public. Regardless, Spain Football Federation has stated that they will insist Del Bosque to remain in his post, as confirmed by Secretary General of the Federation Jorge Perez. Perez further indicates that Del Bosque is likely to remain in his post until Euro 2016.
