TEMPO.CO, Icheon - Emergency teams continued their search to find 300 passengers of the Sewol ferry, which sank 20 kilometers off the coast of Jindo Island.
Rescue efforts continue as divers search the vessel located 30 meters below the sea. Officials said that the muddy water has hampered the evacuation process, which has rescued 170 survivors out of 475 passengers believed to be on board the ship.
The United States Navy has sent an amphibious assault ship, the USS Bonhomme Richard, to aid the South Korean coastguard, navy and two commercial ships that continuously search for survivors.
