Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo meets with students of 108 State Junior High School in Jakarta.
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo on Monday has called on all students to be honest in doing the national national exams (UN).
“Just do the best you can. Be honest,” said Jokowi on Sunday. The governor said he did not set a graduation rate target pertaining to the national exams this year. “I’ve never thought about the graduation rate target for the students. The most important thing is that they are taught to be honest.”
Students of high schools, vocational schools and special schools begin to take their national exams today. The exams are slated to last until Wednesday.
The Jakarta Education Agency chief Lasro Marbun has guaranteed there are no leaks in national exam, claiming the distribution of the exam papers were guarded by both the Ministry of Education and the police.
