TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian comedian known for his distinguished pants and Hitler mustache, Jojon, has died in Premier Hospital Jatinegara this morning. The hospital's public relation officer Sukendar confirmed the death of Jojon, who was born by the name of Djuhri Masdjan.
Jojon's wife said her husband suffered a heart attack. The comedian had been complaining about the pain in his chest for quite a while, she said.
Jojon is known for his low profile character. The widely known national comedian began his career with Djajakarta Group back in the 80's. A number of national comedians, such as Doyok and Tarzan, were seen paying tribute to the departed senior colleague, all praising Jojon's lifetime contribution.
