TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sweden Ambassador for Indonesia, Ewa Polano, said that her government is currently cooperating with Indonesian government in educational programs. In August last year, 45 Indonesian students have been enrolled in Master and Doctorate programs at top universities in Sweden.

"This year, there would be 100 scholarships from Sweden for Indonesian students. 50 of them will be given by private sectors, based on the agreement with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono last year. The rest are from Sweden government and Universities," said Ewa Polano during a dinner occasion at Swedish Residence, Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.

According to Ewa, Sweden government has put Indonesia as the priority country to receive scholarships since two years ago. Ewa said that Indonesian students can choose to study at Lund University, Uppsala University, Chalmers University, Karolinka Institute, Stockholm University, and others. Ewa believes that Indonesian students would be attracted by the excellence of the educational system.
