Jokowi Shows Support for Halim Airport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo stated his support for the government's plan to move Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport. Jokowi said that although no official letter has been issued about the plan, but talks have been conducted with the central government.


"I agree because it can also reduce traffic jam in the Cengkareng area," Jokowi said at the City Hall on Thursday, December 5, 2013.


Jokowi added that the Transportation Ministry has coordinated with the Jakarta government to prepare everything, especially related to traffic.
