Pan Factory Owner Yet to be Trialled

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - It has been four months since Yuki Irawan, owner of a pan factory, was arrested by the police for having his workers captivated and treating them like slaves for months. However, documents related to the case still has not been submitted to the Tangerang District Court and Yuki is yet to be trialled.
Cmr. Siswo Yuwono, Head of the Criminal Division of the Tangerang City Police explained that the case files have been revised three times and that the police is currently waiting for the files to be approved by the Tangerang Attorney Office. "We are currently waiting for the files to be declared as complete by the attorney office," he said on Tuesday, August 20.
Similar to Siswo, Julian Jaya, legal attorney of Yuki's bouncers, stated that his clients are also waiting for the files to be completed. "Our clients, Tedi Sukarno, Sudirman, Nurdin, or also known as Umar, and Jaya are currently being held at the Curug and Tigaraksa police headquarters," Julian informed.
Yuki Irawan and four of his bouncers were charged for violent conduct, human trafficking, embezzlement, and deprivation of freedom. They were aso charged for violating Law 13/2003 on Manpower, and Law 23/2002 on Child Protection.
