TEMPO.CO, Tyneside – Arsenal has achieved its three-point target in an effort to secure a spot for the Champions League after defeating Newcastle 1-0. Laurent Koscielny scored the only goal of the match which was held in St. James Stadium, Sunday, May 19.
Both team had equal chances to score goals. However, Arsenal managed to dominate the game in the second half and created an opportunity for Koscielny to score a decisive goal in the 52nd minute.
The victory delivers Arsenal to secure the last spot for the Champions League, leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth position despite having achieved a victory over Sunderland.
